Hacked!! AGAIN!
There comes a time when things are beyond your control and you just have to get to the battle stations and take care of the situations you are given with hope of a better outcome then worst.
My website had been hacked in late 2016, I remember the day, Started of as usual, Getting ready for the Task of the day and just get on my laptop to check out the website, After waiting for about 5min which at the time, I didn’t notice but a small file was being downloaded every time you entered the url, and a white screen was only showing and nothing more, after hitting refresh few times and checking it on my phone, realisation that I have a major issue.
First feeling was Anger and depression, Who to call, Who could click their fingers and fix it, Who could have done it, Why ME, So many question running over in my mind to work out why my life was at this point. As you know when you have a Website online or any business for that matter, you are always chopping and changing and that was my habit. I had made so many revisions that it was just taken for granted that the website was always going to be there and I just added and so on, but never made copy or backup or saved the texts that was all written up.
www.findmecars.com.au was officially gone down and I had really no one to speak to but the one people that could help, So I started to check my files on the server and see what was there and what was not, The files all seem to be there but nothing was showing, After lots of frustration and simply just been disappointed, I decided to delete the files to
So next I contacted my Host company – got onto Host Gator. They had some ideas what it could have been done and after time they had been able to resolve the issue, but it made me feel how important it is to keep a backup but also shows how the competition might try to do anything just to keep you from moving forward.
But now we have built a better and 10x more attractive website that is bringing in more clients and getting us now noticed with other businesses and given greater opportunities.
